Originally offered only in San Francisco (Diane Jarmolow's Ballroom Dance Teachers College), the BDTC program has proven itself as a program whose graduates are among the most highly trained dance teachers working in the industry today. Dedicated to ensuring excellence in partner dance instruction, our course is ideal for adults who are considering a career as dance teacher, or who would like to improve their own dancing. Teaching dance is a career option for anyone —no prior dance experience is required!
The 16-month program is made up of four quarters lasting approximately 4 months each. New dates TBD
Each quarter is instructed through a series of 3-day weekend sessions (5 hours on Friday; 6 hours on Saturday, and 5 hours on Sunday). This schedule, though demanding, allows those with full time jobs to pursue this program while maintaining their current employment. Dates for the TBD quarter, covering the Bronze syllabus for American Style Smooth dances, are:
